“There are so many helpful ways of understanding our own experiencing. Something happens in the body and then we usually put it into what we already know about life and the world and our own healing process. This can be very helpful. And sometimes it can also be helpful to remain as open as possible to experiencing on its own terms, without a framework or model of understanding. I want to offer a session where we attempt to set aside all we know in order to encounter ourselves freshly, just to see if the body has its own sense of its own meaning, more than will fit any scheme we are using. We will see what comes alive when we attempt to set aside what we assume about life patterns, about the past and the present and how time works, what a person is, how healing happens, where wounds come from….”
