In our March webinar we explored various ways of Stepping Back within our Focusing so that we get out of the way and allow space for the natural Focusing process to unfold in the way It knows how. One of the threads of that exploration I would like to pick up on and weave a bit further. It is about the ability to Step Back from our thinking mind, whenever needed. We very often do not “have thoughts” but “thoughts have us”.  How can you “un-grip” from intense negative, unhelpful thought streams and step back onto the ground of your own Presence, allowing protective space for what wants to grow and move forward inside you? 
 
I envisage a few simple, brief practices to get us started. They are designed to exercise an inner muscle-set that allows you to step away from entanglement with unhelpful thoughts and rest back into a sense of You as Presence. We are so much more than our thoughts!”
