Joya D’Cruz picture

My name is Joya D’Cruz. Joya is a Bengali (Indian) name. D’Cruz is from the Portugese who colonized parts of India, baptized smaller groups within villages and assigned them names. I moved out of India as a young adult, and have lived in Singapore, Canada, and various parts of the US. Professionally I practice psychotherapy in Michigan, USA. My license is in Marriage and Family Therapy and I have training in Sensory Motor processing and Indigenous Focusing Oriented Therapy for Complex Trauma. I also offer psycho-spiritual-educational workshops and facilitate mindfulness-based meditation in the community.
