A source of greater wisdom, intelligence and compassion

For me, Wholebody Focusing (WBF) is a process that allows one to tune into a source of greater wisdom, intelligence, and compassion. By “tuning in” to this source, we can receive messages of wisdom that will guide us and comfort us. This source of wisdom can be conceptualized as a part of our human mind (the non-conscious, creative problem-solver), or as Something Larger (The More, Spirit, Nature, etc.). The Source can see the WHOLE of our situation, and knows exactly what piece of wisdom to send to us at any particular moment. (Unfortunately, most of the time we are too busy paying attention to other things, and do not notice that The Source is quietly knocking on our door! )
My plan for our time together is to show you some examples of how these messages of wisdom can show up in a WBF process (i.e., in metaphors that are postural, visual, or movement-based), so that you know the type of thing to look for. Then I will lead us through an extended attunement, so that each of you has the experience of: settling yourself down, inviting in the Source of Wisdom, noticing and discerning a possible metaphor of wisdom, and finally translating the metaphor into a specific message of wisdom. Then we will break into small groups to support each other in translating the metaphors, or to discuss what we have experienced.
Lest this all sounds so very, very serious, may I also say that, in my experience, the Source of Wisdom has a well-developed sense of humor, uses puns liberally in these metaphors, and enjoys spontaneous laughter and mischievious smiles!
